I have a requirement from a client based in Halifax/ London who have a requirement for a SAS Administrator to start ASAP. The details are below-

Location: Halifax, option to do some work from London
Duration: 3 months +
Rate: £ p/d

Requirement-

RISK INFRASTRUCTURE - RISK SYSTEMS SUPPORT ANALYST
JOB PURPOSE
To support the migration of Business processes from heritage Analytical systems to the strategic Le Mans platform through owning the route-to-live process for implementing Production code in the batch schedule. Also providing technical guidance to developers, users on the best practices for effectively utilising the Le Mans system, including guidance of the system and governance constraints.

THE 'WHAT' (RESPONSIBILITIES - ACCOUNTABILITIES)
* Act as the platform gate keeper to ensure quality code and processes are deployed into Production
* Undertake robust testing (in the Test environments) of the batch processes sent through the Route to Live process
* Executing the batch change control and code promotions activities.
* Offer support to SAS users on this environment.
* Establishing best practices and guidelines for the usage of SAS environment.
* Provides guidance and assistance to SAS Developers on operational and technical issues; interfacing with the SAS for Support environment problems.
* Data management including Data quality checking and data audits.
* Design, develop, maintain and enhance the data platform to support current and future Credit Risk business objectives and initiatives.
* Support Credit Risk analysts with SAS working practice and mentor efficient and optimum use of the analysis tools.
* Develop and maintain system documentation including Data Dictionaries, User Guides, Design and maintenance procedures etc.

SKILLS - KNOWLEDGE - EXPERIENCE
* Preferably 3 years of SAS experience, however, at least 1 year of experience is required.
* Experience in utilising SAS Management Console to administer SAS platforms (especially on Unix AIX systems)
* SAS code release management experience, including packaging, promoting, and deploying metadata across SAS environments
* Batch scheduling experience in an industry recognised tool (Tivoli, LSF)
* Good communication skills
