Tata Technologies is currently looking for a Mechanical Systems Engineer to join the Systems Engineering team based on site at our customer facility in Norfolk, UK. This team performs systems engineering activities associated with product development which will include specifying, developing and qualifying aircraft systems and equipment.
Description of work:
Aerospace Mechanical Design Engineer required to carry out the design and modelling of aircraft attachment brackets. Required to participate in design reviews throughout each phase of the new
product design process and ensure the successful integration of the design into the aircraft system.
SolidWorks experience required. Also required to participate in the certification of the design for aerospace use.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
-Provide conceptual and detailed design of aircraft attachment brackets
-Create engineering drawings and 3D models in Solidworks
-Participate in design reviews
-Participate in on aircraft design surveys and trial installations
-Ownership and management of the equipment certification campaign from assessment of requirements, though testing, to delivery of certification test reports
Experience:
-Solidworks
-Proven Mechanical Systems Design experience
-Good understanding of the systems engineering product life cycle (PDR, CDR etc.)
-Knowledge and understanding of Aerospace Engineering standards (such as CS25, DO-160, Mil Specs etc.)
-Self-motivated and able to manage a package of work
-Excellent inter-personal skills - both written and oral communications; ability to interface with customers and technical representatives
-Good organisation skills and able to prioritise own workload
-Flexible & adaptable to changing priorities
