Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer
Location: Barrow-in-Furness
Contract Length: 6 Month Contract
Contract Rate: £38.00 - £38.94 per hour
Job Description
On a day to day basis you will be required to attend supplier's premises to conduct product surveillance and acceptance of material/equipment. You must be able to conduct inspections and make acceptance decisions. You will be able to write visit/inspection reports and use SAP. You will be responsible for the approval of supplier's quality management systems by auditing. As well as being able to write audit reports and verification of corrective actions closure evidence and you will be able to use IT tools such as SAP Attendance at quality review meetings
Experience required for this role:
- Inspection and/or testing experience of mechanical or electrical equipment preferably in a marine environment or high consequence industrial application eg Nuclear, Oil and Gas, Weapons or Aircraft
- Quality Management systems and quality fundamentals
- Auditing and report writing
- Engineering Apprenticeship
- Mechanical Engineering Preferred or Electrical/Structural or equivalent
- ONC/HNC in an engineering subject or equivalent
- Audit Qualifications - desirable
- Quality Management Qualifications - desirable
