Position Title: Regulatory & Compliance Manager

Reports to: Vendor Governance & Assurance Manager
Summary of Role:

The role of the Regulatory & Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Service Provider(s) are aware of the Regulatory & Compliance requirements, Policies and Standards and that they are followed and where mandatory adhered to as defined by Banking Regulations or as stated within the Contract. The Regulatory & Compliance Manager is accountable for by identifying business, regulatory and compliance requirements and to ensure these are clearly defined and shared with the Service Provider(s) and to provide management oversight to the Service Provider(s) with the implementation, communication and in collaboration with the Service Provider(s) to regularly verify adherence to Regulatory & Compliance policies and standards. The Regulatory & Compliance Manager is responsible for the inspection of the Service Provider(s) processes and procedures to ensure compliance with the organisation's audit, Security and Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity requirements. The Regulatory & Compliance Manager is responsible for defining the control mechanisms and processes for measuring the Service Provider(s) and will ensure that they provide regular reports and compliance updates in accordance with contractual requirements.

Principal Accountabilities:

To be responsible for the Service Provider(s) awareness of the Regulatory & Compliance requirements, Policies and Standards and that they are followed and where mandatory adhered to as defined by Banking Regulations or as stated within the Contract Facilitate team and Service Provider(s) compliance with the agreement Support and follow defined SIAM Governance decision rights, standards and practices
To own and be responsible for Service Provider(s) Regulatory & Compliance assurance, and to act as chairperson for the monthly governance forum Accountable for the Regulatory & Compliance processes as they relate to sourced services.
Be responsible for the management of the Service Provider(s) performance audits (financial, regulatory, technical, security, risk, etc.)
To Act as a primary interface and representative to company Group Audit
Be responsible for enforcing adherence to policy and all communication and to define corrective action for all violations of policies, including security breaches
Review and assist in development of project risk mitigations plans
Facilitate and coordinate audit and compliance groups to review Service Provider(s) processes and procedures
Responsible for defining audit scope and calendar and accountable for conducting Service Provider(s) audits
Act as point of escalation for any Regulatory & Compliance issues that arise at the service delivery level Participate in annual continuous improvement process and assist in benchmarking service levels
Provide early warning to the Business Unit executives regarding non-compliance with Standards and Policies Prepares presentations for the steering committee and other executive leadership groups

Principle Challenges:

Ensure the Service Provider(s) performs the services agreed to by the master services agreement in a manner that is consistent with both the spirit and the letter of the agreement Manage critical Regulatory & Compliance issues that cross organisational boundaries
Develop and ensure the use of the company's information technology, standards, process and policies and ensure that the Service Provider(s) procedures, reporting are in accordance with company standards.
Ensure compliance of all standards and procedures to both business policies, Banking and Government and statutory regulations
Drive the Service Provider(s) continual improvement processes with respect to Compliance, ensuring that company obtain the anticipated value and benefits from the relationships and associated contracts. Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, the business and Service Provider(s) ensuring a streamlined and effective engagement process and that any requirements are met.

Relevant experience and qualifications required:
10+ years of progressive leadership experience of increasing complexity, including management of a highly matrixed organizations
Proven executive experience in implementing and managing Regulatory & Compliance functions Experience in business systems and process planning
Experience of indirect management - managing by influence as opposed to positional authority Bachelor's Degree and required skillsets

Technical Competency Level

Experienced with Regulatory & Compliance functions within a sourced multi-provider environment Knowledge with and experience using ITIL and ISO 20000 frameworks
Experience with and knowledge of IT outsourcing activities in a managed services environment
Proven knowledge of all aspects of the Regulatory & Compliance functional areas within a Banking environment
Knowledge of business environment, service requirements and culture Behaviours
