Resource Advisor - Temporary 6 month contract - ASAP Start - UK Travel required

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated Resourcing Advisor to join a busy team within a well known construction company. This position can either be based out of our Derby or Wolverhampton offices. This position will require someone who has a full clean dirvers lincense as travelling around the UK will be expected. This is a temporary position lasting 6 months, with a start date of ASAP. The role is to effectively co-ordinate the delivery of a cost effective recruitment model for staff within the business.

As an employee you will:

  • Act as one of the key points of contact for recruitment to employees, managers, directors and potential recruits.
  • To provide a professional recruitment service to our regional contracts and offices nationwide.
  • Support line managers throughout the recruitment process - to include interviewing and screening, assessing competencies, running assessment centres, through to inducting successful candidates into our business.
  • Deliver a direct sourcing strategies and an approach to access all appropriate candidate (apprentices/grads/scarce/internal talent/critical and exec) for all roles to reduce cost per hire.
  • Utilise and govern a recruitment assessment framework; including use of psychometric/behavioural testing to improve quality of hire.
  • Support the redeployment/outplacement strategy and approach for ensuring as many internal candidates are redeployed.
  • Work (where appropriate) with external recruitment suppliers in partnership to help drive improvements or cost efficiencies.
  • Improve the usage and automation of the recruitment applicant tracking system.
  • Educate and up-skill line managers to become accountable for recruiting.
  • Support wider group HR Strategies and initiatives eg. Diversity.
  • Report on Recruitment activities including ROI, budget management, candidate experience and utilise MI to drive greater efficiencies.
  • Develop and maintain personal expertise and network in the broader HR community to stay abreast of best practice and bring leading edge HR thinking into BB Services.
  • Contribute to the Group Diversity agenda by demonstrating best practice in this area.

The following qualities/experience are essential;

  • The role holder will be understand resourcing practices and best practice solutions.
  • The role holder will have the ability to inspire confidence of the managers, employees and candidates through understanding business needs and priorities and roles.
  • Ability to positively challenge and influence to ensure the best business outcome is delivered.
  • Proven track record in building effective relationships with managers
  • Excellent communication skills - handles complex and difficult situations with thought and confidence.
  • Able to problem solve both operational issues through a pragmatic and commercially sound approach.
  • The role holder will have previous experience within the in house receruitment industry.
