OPERATIONAL TOOLS SOFTWARE DESIGNER- MOBILE TELECOMS- PARIS

I am recruiting for a Operational Tools Software Designer for a leading Mobile Telecommunications company in Paris on a contract basis.

As the Operational Tools Software Designer you will work as part of the network integration and service department and take responsibility for tools development and administration for delivery of 2G/3G and 4G wireless networks. This will involve coordinating activities for a group of 10 optimization engineers.

Responsibilities of the role include;

  • Develop, administrate and maintain database of site visits and site engineering details.
  • Develop and maintain a database of site configurations.
  • Analyse project needs.
  • Provide reports to management.
  • Design and implement in an Agile development cycle a set of tools to perform automation and/or document dematerialization.
  • Increase customer satisfaction by ensuring all issues identified are dealt with and solutions are provided in the required timescales.
  • Maintain the tools.
  • Team management for a team of 10 optimization engineers.
  • Ensure good communication with the customer throughout the project and with several optimization teams.

Experience required for the role;

  • Excellent Operational knowledge within telecoms, in; radio design, site hardware engineering, radio measures.
  • Technical knowledge of 2G/3G/4G networks (RAN and OSS)
  • Software development;- Languages (VB, PHP, Perl, python)- Databases (SQL, server, MySQL)- Drupal web framework.
  • Strong background and experience in Radio Network Optimization and SQL.
  • Experience in signalling trace and OSS analysis.
  • Experience with Huawei OSS (M2000, ISSSTar, PRS, Nastar)
  • Knowledge of drive tools and post-processing software.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English and French.
  • University degree in Telecommunications or Electrical/electronic engineering.
