We are currently recruiting for an Embedded C software engineer for one of our clients, who are looking to expand their team. This role will suit an engineer who has solid experience in embedded firmware/software development for industrial and commercial products. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who enjoys working on his own or as part of a team on a variety of exciting embedded projects.

The ideal candidate will enjoy learning on a daily basis and resolving design problems with innovative ideas. He/she will be joining a team of 7 development engineers working in a friendly and cooperative environment.

This role will also suit a candidate who has aspirations to learn software development for embedded Linux.

Key Responsibilities:
Developing and maintaining firmware/software for new and existing projects
Input in all phases of design life cycle: Requirements capture, implementation, test, validation and deployment.
Liaise with customers on project progress and where necessary make site visits. Effectively utilise software source control (SVN) and issue tracking systems (Trac) Up-skill to develop in embedded Linux (training provided)

Essential Experience:
Minimum 3 years' Experience of witting C for a microprocessors and/or micro controllers
Proven track record in delivering software for embedded products Competent in debugging code at a hardware level using instrumentation Full software development lifecycle experience
Source code control
Excellent written and spoken English
Full clean driving license

If you have any of the following desirable skills / experience, that would be useful although not essential.

Any of the following range of processors

- Free scale IMX6
- Texas Sitara
- Micochip
- Atmel AVR
- Any ARM platforms

SVN and Trac
Eclipse development environment
Hardware debugging skills
Any Linux experience

You will be actively encouraged to come forward with any ideas or suggestions for new products, product improvements, and ways to reduce costs or improve the efficiency of the Company.
