The Project Coordinator role is designed to off-load day-to-day activities surrounding compliance programs. This role is accountable for working with compliance system and control owners. The Coordinator facilitates the relationship between these groups and the compliance teams. The Coordinator has to work directly with teams to ensure that remediation and project efforts are completed in a timely fashion, in a repeatable time frame. Responsible for response to vulnerability scans and working with managers to figure out how to report and track them according to industry requirements.

The Project Coordinator must also be able to work effectively with and lead technical personnel (Development Team Managers, Systems Analysts, Developers, Testers), and clearly translate business priorities and objectives into technical solutions.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure coordination of delivery teams within various domains.
  • Work with development leads to guide solutions on technical issues.
  • Provide overall development project leadership, and direct teams in the delivery of high-quality products within committed time frames.
  • Coordinate all delivery activities through the development managers and act as the escalation point for all development and build issues specific to projects.
  • Coordinate with the development teams to ensure the right teams are working on the right build components at the right time, with clear expectations of milestones and goals.
  • Coordinate and communicate night of deployment status and issues to leadership on planned deployment activity dates.
SKILLS:
Minimum Required Skills/Competencies:
  • 8+ years of software development and project experience
  • Prefer knowledge of application development and system architecture.
  • Experience with applications such as SAP, BI, Siebel, & Remedy are helpful.
  • Skills and knowledge acquired through Development, Technical Lead, or Project Management experience are helpful in each of the following areas: Project Management, Change Management, Release Management, Configuration Management, Systems Integration, Systems Development Life Cycle Methodologies, Quality Assurance and Testing, Requirements Gathering, and Systems Analysis and Design.
  • Technically savvy (able to explain technical work to laymen).
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with off shore resources.
  • Security Knowledge is a must
Preferred skills:
  • Knowledge of the following compliance domains a plus: Payment Card Industry (PCI), Sarbanes Oxley (SOX).
  • Experience in working directly in Risk Remediation/Treatment Processes.
  • Experience in working directly in an information security program desirable.
  • Working knowledge of and experience in the policy and regulatory environment of information security, especially in higher education is desirable.
