A financial services organisation is looking for an experienced Reconciliations Analyst with Banking experience.

Key role deliverables:

  • Have a clear and concise approach around OpRec & FinRec, R&I, build, analysis, delivery and management
  • Project management capability - aligned to PRINCE II or similar
  • Agree OpRec & FinRec processes and procedures with the Finance & operations businesses and manage plans to deliver.
  • Understand end to end data flows between strategic platforms
  • Design reconciliation process for implementation weekend, mapping golden source to source and target platforms.
  • Design and agree data sets for dress rehearsals and deliver against a plan for data population.
  • Agree with Technology and Business data elements that can be delivered and loaded prior to cutover weekend, together with an approach for data population
  • Work with Finance & Operations to define the breaks process between the two separate legal entities post cutover

Experience -Candidates will normally have the following:

  • Significant experience with all reconciliations and processes constructed at an enterprise level
  • A good understanding of reconciliation mapping, flows and validation is essential at the enterprise level
  • Significant knowledge of Banking Processes and related Technology.
  • Project Lifecycle planning and delivery of projects of between 3-9 months duration.
  • Communicate at all business levels is essential
  • Must be able to communicate at all levels, on technical & non-technical issues relating to reconciliations.
  • Flexibility to work on a variety of project types and in a number of different business areas.
  • Use of an established project management methodology ensuring formal tracking of projects and a clear audit trail.
  • Requirement to travel in UK will feature.

Scope of Role

Change Management

  • To deliver project Implementations and dress rehearsal capability which contribute to the strategic objectives, demonstrating an understanding of the organisational impact of change.
  • Ability to assess change drivers, translate them into impacts and identify threats & opportunities.
  • Stakeholder management and engagement of key stakeholders up to Senior level.
  • Ability to support people through change.

Customer

  • Identify the impact of Implementation deliverables on the customer and ensure these fully support the customer proposition.
  • Ensure the Implementation of projects meet the internal and external customer requirements.
  • Maximise the customer experience and minimise risk and the cost of change.

Technical Knowledge:

  • In depth knowledge and proven background in the design, build and delivery of data based solutions, additionally with a strong knowledge of ETL's, structured and unstructured data elements, creating and deploying test data, extract and validation of client/customer and employee data
  • In depth knowledge and proven application of Project Management methodology and full project life cycle including documentation standards, risk modelling, change controls, quality frameworks and compliance.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of implementation tools, techniques and environments.
  • Knowledge of banking products and terminology.
  • Proficient use of project tools eg MS Project, Microsoft Office etc.

People Management:

  • May be required to manage and develop a team of staff including selection, coaching, training & development and performance appraisal.
  • Maximise resources where required through prioritising activities and balancing conflicting demands.
  • Ability to communicate with people (verbally and in writing).
  • Demonstrates they can operate at a senior level through suggesting ideas and persuading others to follow.
