An exciting opportunity has arisen to help shape the infrastructure landscape working alongside the Network Team on a 6 month contract basis.The Network Team requires an enthusiastic, experienced Network professional to join its dynamic I.T workforce. You'll be helping to support RDaSH's Cisco, Palo Alto & Aerohive based network across 120 sites in the region.
Key duties:
- Supporting and administrating the network infrastructure, including Voip, WiFi & remote access technologies
- Assisting with long term project work, including solution designs, development & new technologies
- Providing expert analysis to either resolve or escalate 1st to 3rd line infrastructure queries
- Network administration & ongoing contribution towards service improvement within the team
- Responsibility for the full lifecycle of incidents and problems, including assisting other engineers or junior staff
You will work closely with all business divisions throughout the organisation as the Network Team delivers critical infrastructure via service level agreements.
You will possess relevant technical (CCNA or equivalent) qualifications and have a good broad experience & knowledge of routing/switching architectures, firewalls, server & desktop support.
There will be a requirement to support a large geographical area and this will involve some travelling.
A confident & assertive individual is required; as you will be dealing with people at all management levels and will need to explain complex technical issues to both specialist and non-technical staff. The ability to manage projects including dealing with suppliers is also required. You will need to have the ability to travel around the specified geographical area so access to transport for business use is required.
