Description
Role: Embedded Software Engineerrate: £35 - £40 per hour
Contract length: 6 monthes
Key Tasks
Ensure effective plans are in place to deliver software in accordance with the schedule and PA/QA requirements of the project
Embedded software development of Bit Micro-controllers
Ability to capture requirements and deliver software within tight time frames
Deliver technical solutions (CAN firmware)
Drive stress testing and reliability testing of the CAN firmware
Drive the peer review activity for CAN node firmware
Assist with the debugging of CAN Firmware / hardware
Ensure risks to the development are identified, managed and communicated to Projects and Engineering
Other activities as delegated
PERSON SPECIFICATION (essential requirements)
Exposure to recognised industry standard software development processes
Several years embedded software engineering experience
Knowledge & Skills
Embedded C
Knowledge Real time systems
Experience of TI development tools
Knowledge of TMS470 microprocessors
Knowledge of CAN and serial communication protocols
Knowledge of ARM architecture
Good communication/presentation and team-working skills
Knowledge / appreciation of digital electronics and VHDL
