My client, a Card Payments provider based in Dublin is recruiting a Qualified Financial Accountant to join on a contract basis to manage all accounting. You will ensure the preparation of accurate, reliable, and timely reporting of financial statements and other financial data in accordance with applicable SEC, U.S., GAAP, statutory and regulatory requirements. You will develops and implement companywide accounting policies in conformance with GAAP and current accounting pronouncements and prepare period-by-period analyses and explain significant account variances.
Major Accountabilities:
- Support the monthly accounting close cycle.
- Provide accounting guidance and support to the regions and business units.
- Perform and/or review account reconciliations.
- Lead special projects, including researching, consulting and drafting technical memorandums on proposed and/or completed transactions and issues.
- Oversee due diligence for potential acquisition or investments.
- Manage disclosure committee process, preparation of audit committee communications, training on corporate policies and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
- Develop and implement cost-effective controls to promote data integrity and minimize risk.
The successful candidate will be have 5-8 years of relevant related work experience-big 4 public accounting firm experience or similar technical accounting experience in a large public company and have strong project management skills. You will have excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills with emphasis on building strong, longer-term relationships worldwide across varying geographies and functions and be proficient in researching accounting literature including FASB, SEC, AICPA, tax expertise a plus.
