SQL DBA - £65K - London - SQL DBAA SQL Database Administrator (DBA) is required for a large multinational Law firm. They are a mega powerhouse within the industry and pull many strings in forming today's society. They are growing year on year and are highly admired by their peers and considered highly influential on a global scale. As a SQL DBA you will be responsible for:
- Installation and configuration of SQL Server 2000 and above, Data migration and upgrades;
- Housekeeping, Maintenance and Operational procedures;
- Development and Test support;
- SQL Replication
- Log and DB shipping and DB Mirroring;
- 3rd Line Application Support of SQL based applications.
The DBA will have:
- Enterprise-level MSSQL experience;
- Hands on relational database experience.
- Experience of database design, tuning, query optimisation, monitoring, auditing, backup, and high availability solutions such as database mirroring and clustering and capacity planning
- Experience with SQL indexes, DTS and SSIS and security
- A sound knowledge of T-SQL is required.
Desirable:
- Experience of MSIIS and Web Servers;
- Crystal Reports Designer/Business Objects would be an advantage to facilitate reporting;
- C# and .Net
- Jscript, VBScript, PowerShell would be an advantage;
- Knowledge of SharePoint an advantage.
