Description
The interim Theatre Manager will provide clinical and managerial leadership and support the current Head of Theatres on day to day basis whilst they are seconded elsewhere for 2 days per week. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 5 years clinical experience and have substantial experience in Theatre Management. The successful person will most likely me a Senior Nurse, Matron or an experienced Theatres General Manager with a Nursing background which is essential for this post.The post-holder will be responsible for:
- Increasing and managing the productivity in regards to the start and finish times.
- Lead on the improvement of ODP and Sterile services.
- Demonstrate a unique approach to fix issues within the Theatres department and structure your priorities daily.
- Deliver key improvements to patient flow and increase. productivity within the department focusing initially on improving start / finish times.
To be considered for this post, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Minimum 5 years Clinical / Nursing experience
- Substantial knowledge and experienced gained in Theatre Management.
- A proven track record in delivering key Theatre improvements
- Knowledge of Clinical Workforce planning.
