An exciting opening has become available within my clients Luxury automotive company.
This is an excellent opportunity to grow and develop within a recognised global automotive brand.

Skills Required:

Excellent creative and presentation skills including Advanced use of Photoshop, Illustrator, Bunkspeed or similar software.

A good understanding of product and automotive/interior design combined with good aesthetic judgement, colour vision and colour perception.

Ability to plan and undertake projects to a strict deadline.

Knowledge of automotive materials, processes and suppliers with a high degree of competitor awareness.

Ability to adjust to changing design, feasibility and cost requirements.

Self motivated, meticulous, conscientious, tenacious and enthusiastic.

Good communication skills and the ability to relate to all levels of staff and management and be a good team

Experience Required:

Design experience

Essential Automotive Design experience

Materials process knowledge - Essential

Responsible for the development of interior/exterior body and trim colours, and the selection and application of materials and textures for vehicle ranges and bespoke one off vehicles

Resourcing of all decorative materials on allocated programmes

Influencing the design direction of a project with a high degree of creativity and flair.

Competitor benchmarking and maintain PALS Attribute competitiveness.

Negotiating against cost and feasibility issues to achieve customer satisfaction.

Detailed liaison with Interior/Exterior Designers, Sales and Marketing, Engineers and Suppliers will ensure effective communication to achieve Design requirements.

Responsible for agreeing design changes and communicating direction to team and suppliers.

Translates concepts from 2D to 3D product.

Project manages the production of components to specification.

Responsible for coordinating suppliers to deliver on time.

Shares best practice with the team and offer direction as appropriate

Flexibility to carry out work on different programme activities dependent on business needs.

Education Required:

Educated to a minimum of degree level.

Relevant design degree (preferred) demonstrating excellent creative and presentation skills including Advanced use of Photoshop, Illustrator, Bunkspeed or similar software
