Assistant Supplier Manager - Retail Banking - Contract/Commercial/Relationship Management

A leading Retail Bank based in London is seeking a Supplier Manager to work on a complex project, which offers the opportunity to work with senior level professionals in a highly respected organisation.

The purpose of the role is for a Programme Manager to run a Cyber programme.

  • Contract, commercial and supplier relationship management support.
  • Supplier spend and usage analysis and reporting.
  • Management of and implementation of contractual governance framework and SRM processes.
  • Lead Supplier Manager for specific categories.
  • Design and implement supplier management strategies to help facilitate the rundown of the loan book.
  • Act as a central point of knowledge and guidance for supplier performance and service level management and undertake periodic reviews to ensure that service levels are updated in line with evolving business requirements.
  • Act as the day-to-day business lead on key business projects
  • Implementation and maintain of controls to mitigate inherent short, medium and long term risks.
  • Management of contractual and commercial change negotiations and contract amendment documentation.
  • Monitor, evaluate and sign off supplier spend in accordance with the contractual agreement.
  • Chair internal and external stakeholder meetings and produce governance meeting packs.
  • Management of due diligence process for new and existing suppliers.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with internal and regulatory policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Issue resolution and escalation management.
  • Provision of contract advice to the CAMI executive committee and other senior stakeholders
  • Deputise for the Lead Supplier Manager as required in all matters commercial and contractual.

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following skills within financial services (ideally retail banking):

  • Supplier relationship and contract management
  • Knowledge of Irish customer conduct regulations including CPC and CCMA
  • Sourcing strategy development
  • Strong performance management skills
  • Project Management
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Advanced Negotiation skills including negotiation strategy development

As well as proven experience on a large scale programme within a banking environment.
