I have an exciting new role working for a leading investment bank. My client is looking for a strong Application support specialist to work in their core trading team responsible for ensuring the stability of business critical client and server-based applications. You will be involved in supporting key Trading application focused around DMA programs and low latency. You will have excellent technical ability as well as strong business knowledge around the Equity (Cash) and Derivatives area. You will need to have an understanding of their trading concepts and know how to price. Key Duties: Proactive & reactive Real Time monitoring of processes, connections & trade flows Identify and build tools/scripts to aid in day to day tasks. Strong technical, analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to clearly present technology to a non technical audience Understanding of Equity Cash and Derivative products, how to price and their trading concepts

Front Office Application support experience:
investment banking Good understanding of relational databases and SQL.(Sybase database experience an advantage)
Scripting skills eg Perl, CGI, ksh, python
Knowledge of the FIX protocol is highly desirable
