OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Reporting into the Compliance Officer the Compliance monitoring officer will be responsible for undertaking compliance monitoring in accordance with the compliance monitoring plan as agreed by the board.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

o Undertake compliance monitoring reviews

o Draft terms of reference for each review together with a work plan, based upon the controls to be tested relevant to the risk area being reviewed

o Consider the adequacy and effectiveness of the controls, through interview and testing, and highlight deficiencies

o Consider compliance with against Solvency II standards

o Review associated policies and procedures, highlighting deficiencies

o Prepare compliance review reports in draft using the standard template

o Discuss and agree review issues and actions with task owners

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Essential
Degree or equivalent Professional qualification in insurance/audit/compliance/accounting.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Essential
Compliance monitoring experience, Strong inter-personal, Microsoft Office literate

Desirable
Familiar with general insurance company processes, Familiar with Solvency II, Strong organisational and process
