Description
MapifyPro, a product of PaperTelevision LLC. (A design & development studio located in Cincinaati, OH.) is looking to fill a part-time position for the right candidate. As our product grows, so is our team, and our first step is ensuring a more sophisticated support solution to our customers. However, this position will also include troublesooting and development of our software, so WordPress/PHP development skills are a must.
The job will look like this:
Using primarily zendesk, you will offer tech support to customers of our software. This includes troublshooting customer's themes, pinpointing conflicts, and squashing bugs. MapifyPro is a solid, sophisticated piece of software, but due to the endless nature of WordPress, conflicts arise and customers need help pinpointing the issue.
You'll become very familiar with our software's inner workings so that you'll be able to quickly address tech support issues and make our customer's happy with their purchase, but you will also troubleshoot with the software designer and potentially grow the software and/or create new software down the line.
We'll be starting small (about 5-10 hours per week) focusing primarily on tech support, but this position has the potential to grow into a full-time development position.
The perefect candidate would have the following skills:
-WordPress Experience: Both front and backend development of the WordPress platform (PHP, HTML/CSS, Jquery, etc.). This is important since much of the support will include troubleshooting customer's installations of our software on various themes.
-Experience building WordPress themes from scratch is a huge plus.
-Experience working on plugin development is a plus, but not a necessity. Ideally we would like you to grow familiar with our software and potentially grow into a more involved position of working on current/future software.
-Ideally you are located in the Cincinnati, Ohio area and are able to meet at our studio occasionally (soon to be located in Covington, KY, just across the river). You're free to work from wherever you like, but we would like to keep it local for better communication and the opportunity for growth.
