Description
Offshore Structural Engineer -Circa £70,000. Aberdeen.Progressive Global Energy has been tasked by a key account in Aberdeen to source an experienced Offshore Structural Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
The company are a well established, renowned organisation that specialise in the regulation of the hazardous industries.
This reputable company are currently looking to expand their team and the Offshore Structural Engineer will play a pivotal role in providing operational verification, inspection and integrity assistance on major oil and gas projects

Your main duties will include:
- Responsible for assessing the ability of duty holders
- Provide technical advice to duty holders
- Investigate any accidents, incidents and complaints
- Create technical reports which may be required for legal proceedings
- Highlight, carry out research and address any continuing structural issues within the industry
- Supervise and mentor the more junior engineers
Experience and qualifications you need for this position:
- Engineering degree is essential for this position. Ideally candidates will be to a chartered level
- Extensive proven structural experience
- Experience of design, construction and integrity management
- Previous technical management experience
- Familiarity of risk assessments and integrity management
