A finance manager position has arisen within an investment bank in Cardiff. This is a contract role that is looking to roll on a 3 month basis and is looking to pay up to £350PD.

The role holder will help deliver the strategic objectives of the business by contributing insight and commercial ideas, strong understanding of commercial drivers and independent challenge all facets the business, including risk/return and capital management.

The ideal candidate will be a finance professional with experience in business partnering, be able to liaise with senior stakeholders and be able to provide finance MI and analysis to support strategic and commercial decision making.

The successful job holder will have the following account abilities:
  • Preparation of a monthly finance pack to monitor performance of the business around key risk triggers for submission to the monthly Divisional Asset & Liability Committee, working with relevant Consumer Finance business areas to provide insight and analysis into any trigger breaches.
  • Manage the monthly process for ensuring correct liquidity pricing is applied to the Consumer Finance business and that key stakeholders have good insight into actual charges vs. budget.
  • Manage the process for ensuring correct liquidity pricing is built into quarterly forecasts and stress testing ensuring that key stakeholders have a good understanding and are signed off on the results.
  • Timely and accurate preparation and reconciliation of monthly balance sheet returns to various stakeholders across the group ensuring any adverse movements/variances are fully understood and communicated.
  • Development of ad-hoc/new insights and analysis on Consumer Finance performance as required.
  • Understanding core financial of a business across P&L, Balance Sheet, Risk and Capital Management and facilitating the communication of business-critical information between the business and Finance
  • Establish and build relationships with stakeholders to support the provision of quality and timely information and analysis to inform business decisions including finance and business teams within Consumer Finance, Group Corporate Treasury and Group Finance.
  • Support agreed change projects to deliver continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate the core values and behaviors individually, as a leader and as an active team member
