EXPEDITOR REQUIRED - IMMEDIATE START - SCOTLAND & NORTH WEST ENGLAND

I am currently looking for an experienced Expeditor to work on a Power Station construction project for a specialist engineering client. The role will involve working on a large construction project which is using cutting-edge technology. The position will be offered on an initial 6-9 month contract with the option to extend. The successful candidate could be based in either Scotland or the North-West.

Responsibilities;

- Process industry background
- Tracking and expediting key vendor design & quality information commitments made for multiple PO's
- Mechanical/ electrical equipment experience (ideally pumps, valves, vessels etc)
- Worked as an expeditor
- Ordering major pieces of equipment
- Conduct relevant quality tests
- Inspection
- Knowledge of procurement
- QA certification knowledge
- Quality control
- QC Vendor/ acceptance
- Dealing with designers
- Organising orders over the phone and dealing with different subcontractors
- Ensure document control systems are followed by all parties involved in project delivery
- Conduct internal audits and supplier audits of management and production systems
- Review supplier quality plans and inspection and test plans
- Liaise with design team, suppliers and client
- Produce weekly and monthly reports on inspection status and manufacturing issues
- Expedite closure of punch lists
