GCS has a new requirement for a skilled Senior Test Engineer to join our growing mobile client based in Dublin City. This is an initial 6 month daily rate contract.

You need to have experience in designing and writing test automation scripts including use of one or more tools: JUnit, HttpUnit, JMeter, Ruby, PHP, Python or Groovy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Development of automated regression testing framework.
  • Development of test strategies/plans for software solution under test.
  • Development of manual and automated test scripts within aggressive time schedules for various types of testing: usability, functional, regression & performance.
  • Identify and document test cases for multi-component systems from design documentation and API documentation.
  • Execute/analyze test cases and document software defects.
  • Troubleshoot and verify software defects logged internally and externally and associated fixes.
  • Coordinate and communicate with developers on bug fixes and required modifications.
  • Update test scripts based on changes/upgrades to the applications/software.
  • Assist in project requirements analysis.
  • Documentation including reviewing Functional Specifications, Detailed Design documents and contributing Test Specifications for Feature, System and Solutions Testing.

Essential Skills & Attributes:

  • Minimum of 5+ year's software test experience in a technical test role (focus on Server Side automation).
  • In-depth experience with test automation Scripting eg Python, JMeter, Ruby, PHP etc
  • Experience with RESTful API's.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to deliver quality documentation.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodology.
  • Experience working in a Unix/Linux environment.
