Sub Contract Programme Manager

Advantage Resourcing have a fantastic 6 month contract opportunity as a Sub Contract Programme Manager to direct and manage major marine equipment procurement/supply chain activities.

The role includes the development and delivery of procurement/supply chain strategies, and the associated engagement and management of suppliers, projects and other stakeholders to deliver project/business objectives. Experience of managing suppliers and procurement projects should be evident in your CV.

Previous defence engineering sub-contract management experience is highly desirable and the key candidate requirements are as follows:

*Ability to build positive and effective relationships with Customers, Suppliers and colleagues, utilising the appropriate behaviours including collaboration/partnering.
*Interact and communicate clearly and concisely internally within the Company and externally with the Customer and Supplier up to MD level.
*Able to develop effective strategies for negotiating with suppliers.
*Application of lean tools & behaviours/six sigma principles as applicable to assignment.
*Attention to detail in the identification and assessment of evolving workload and tender responses.
*Positive lateral thinking to develop innovative organisational and supplier solutions.

Key aspects:

*Representing the Supply Chain team at key meetings (internal & external). Critical to the role is the management and development of a senior procurement/supply chain team.
*Implementation of new collaborative/vesting contracting and its principles will be a key deliverable.

Responsibilities

*Manage and lead the team to deliver multiple development or complex subcontracts with individual values of £20M+
*Ensure individual procurement/supply chain strategies/negotiation plans/make v buy plans for each contract are in place
*Manage the internal dependencies and dependents associated with their defined area, ensuring they are viewed as the main point of focus
*Engage and support stakeholders and CAMs on activities to generate, negotiate and place contracts with selected suppliers. Activities include agreed scope definition, contracting frameworks, prices and delivery schedules
*Maintain an effective rapport with the Supplier base and seek developments in the areas of SCE and SCRIA
*Manage the resolution of performance issues with the contract (eg populating claims database while actively protecting the company revenues
