Smart Education Business Development Manager required for a permanent role in Weybridge.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Manager (individual role) of Business Development will be primarily responsible for identifying and obtaining new customers. At the same time, it has to be responsible for building strong relationships for both existing and potential customers.

Defining new market and growth strategies aligned with the overarching vision/mission of External Business (B2B) for the client is important within this position. In this role the individual must be adept at developing robust business cases, and advocating, presenting and gaining senior level support for new business proposals with senior level executives both inside and outside of the company.

The individual must also possess adequate experience in structuring and negotiating complex deals with strategic partners and managing the relationships on-going.

Responsibilities:

Obtaining and securing enterprise customers by understanding both customer business models and the companies service offerings.
Identify potential partnering opportunities and prioritize based on alignment with product/service strategy and business, organizational, and technical fit with the company.
Build and execute on strategy to penetrate target customer, leveraging company's executives, regional business units, existing partners, and other resources.
Prospect, qualify, negotiate, and close deals in an aggressive time frame.
Support partner education and training initiatives.
Provide strategic account management for partnerships (existing and new), balancing the companies the company.
Develop and execute go to market strategies with strategic partners, focusing on aggressive marketing to build the sales funnel and co-selling into high priority opportunities.
Resolve partner pain points and implement performance improvement programs in a collaborative manner.
Work with product management to define product and service offerings that meet partner's needs.

Skills & Experiences

10 years or more experience in the IT industry, preferably with IT services or software solutions business development.
Solution sales experience in Retail & Education vertical is strongly preferred, with strong capability to handle different solutions such as Education solution, Mobility.
Build services/business models especially for Retail and Education with Smart Education Solution
Demonstrated ability to grow and manage relationships with strategic partners, with a consistent focus on revenue growth and concrete business results.
Strong analytical foundation. Must be able to think through complex deal structures with multiple variables.
Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong teamwork skills and ability to drive decision-making across multiple functions and organizational areas.
Must be a self starter and be able to work comfortably in unstructured environments.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

More than 5 years of IT solution sales experiences in Retail and Education Vertical
Working experiences with university or active relationship with organization like followings; Department for Education and universities in UK.
Strongly required to have domain knowledge of retail vertical and understand ecosystem of ICT in Retail & Education vertical.
Capability to deal various solutions that are marketable to retail & education vertical.
Position based in UK, with approximately 20-30% travel requirement;
Fluency in English required;
