Description
MI/Data Analyst with experience analysing HR/employee data required for initial 3 month contract with public sector organisation in Edinburgh.
Your role will involve the extraction, analysis and presentation of organisational HR management information.
Duties will include:
- Development and extraction of MI reports within the HR applications in support of workforce planning activities.
- Development, management and maintenance of HR dashboards, using graphs and other illustrative techniques.
- Review and resolution of data discrepancies.
- Management and response to Freedom of Information (FOI) requests within statutory timescales.
- This will include investigation of the request requirements, sourcing of data held by the company, adhoc analysis and reporting, and preparation of a draft response.
- The discharge of client responsibilities in relation to the submission of statutory returns to other government bodies.
- In particular employee demographic statistics for the company Annual Report and the Office for National Statistics (ONS), sick absence and organisational statistics required by Cabinet Office.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to navigate and manipualte data and pivot tables
- Good technical knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and data extraction, analysis and process tools, including the use of macros within these applications
- Ability to extract, analyse and enable effective and efficient production of management information
- Ability to create complex formulas, pivot tables and design dashboards
- Experience on HR systems/employee data
