POSITION PURPOSE

The eCommerce project manager plans and manages medium-to-large sized eCommerce and digital projects of moderate-to-high complexity, and ensures project results contribute positive business value and meet agreed on scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives. The eCommerce project manager will direct and lead the business and system activities of building and managing the B2B and B2C eCommerce platform with key accountabilities including: B2B and B2C transactions, interface development and management with all relevant systems, alignment with global team and partnership with all internal teams.

ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Define and maintain project plans for multiple initiatives across all project phases, including discovery, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure for digital projects including B2B & B2C E-commerce, website, CRM and email systems
- Develops and manages cross-functional projects and eCommerce initiatives
- Proactively create, manage and track projects including project schedules, detailed project plans, project scope, cost estimates, resource plans, risk and issues logs, and status report that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with technical, business and external partner team to determine business and technical direction and approach to system design and implementation.
- Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team
- Ensures that work is carried out to a high standard and complies with the company†s polices and guidelines, specifically IT, health, and safety
- Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path
- Develops clear and concise documentation to identify processes, problems, and action plans as well as design attractive and simple sketches, charts, diagrams, and other illustrative material to facilitate communication of complicated topics
- Provides frequent on-site monitoring and enforcement of schedules, milestones, and vendor accountability
- Facilitates collaboration across multiple functions, departments, and levels and serves as a role model for teamwork
- Manage a portfolio of eCommerce deliverables from conception to completion

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills such as building effective teams, comfort communicating with higher levels of management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to make effective presentations and communicate technical concepts to non-technical clients
- Extensive knowledge of project management processes, systems development methods, organizational change management concepts, and business process improvement methods
- In-depth knowledge of project planning techniques and automated project planning tools required
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Experience working in a multi-national company
- Experience leading eCommerce based and cross-functional project teams
- eCommerce or Retail experience
- Fundamental understanding of web-based systems programming and development

EDUCATION/PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENT

- Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, quality assurance, or equivalent, required
- Project Management Institute (PMI) certification preferred
- 5+ years Project Management and life cycle experience a plus
- 3-5 years of experience as a project manager responsible for a customer facing eCommerce environment
