Who I'm looking for:
I'm looking for a strong front-end developer to work collaboratively with me on various projects in my SaaS / products business. You'll be asked to take charge of major technical aspects of the product that have a major impact on our customers' experience. You care about the details and you excel when you have challenging problems to solve.
It's the perfect position for someone who's looking for hands-on experience working inside a bootstrapped products business, while you aim to launch your own thing on the side (now or someday). The hours will allow for this. Plus, you can pick my brain about anything, anytime.
What you'll be working on:
Primarily, you'll be working on projects related my main business, Restaurant Engine & Hotel Propeller. These are SaaS services built entirely on WordPress. I also develop products for my audience on my personal blog, casjam.com. You'll be involved in various development projects across all of these.
Responsibilities:
- Custom development of WordPress themes from a PSD
- Development of custom WordPress plugins & functionality
- Devepment of marketing landing pages, forms, and other misc. projects
- Bug fixes and general product improvements.
- Occasional customer support duties
- Frequent work with the Stripe API and other custom integrations
- Collaborative partner in technical planning
- Outstanding English communication skills (spoken and written).
- Excellent front-end development skills
- Back-end development skills a plus
- Comfortable working remotely
- Self-motivated and proactive about tackling things without direction
- Care for the end-user's experience and how the details matter.
This is a part-time, ongoing remote working position. $1,500-$2,500/month depending on experience and number of hours.
I'll ask you to agree to a set weekly schedule of days/hours, but we can work out a time that both works for you and has some overlap with my working days (EST time zone).
