Communications Strategy Specialist - 6 months - Warwick - Negotiable Daily Rate
A leading Energy and Utility client of Hyphen is looking for a Communications Strategy Specialist to join a large upcoming Communications Project. Travel will be split between the sites of Warwick and Hinckley in Leicestershire.
Job Purpose:-
The key focus of this role is to help develop and implement an integrated employee engagement strategy and plan to support Gas Distribution (GDx) within the wider business context of the client. The successful candidate will work in close support of the Employee Engagement Business Partner and the Communications Network that is in Embedded within GDx.
Key Skills/Experience:-
* Experience of working with senior stakeholders across matrixed organsiations - with an ability to inspire trust and influence
* Ability to deal with the complexity of the energy business (preferably), however other regulated industry experience will be considered and understand the competitive landscape; evaluate the impact of policy and regulation and proactively identify and grasp the communications opportunities.
* Good strategic thinking coupled with the ability to identify and manage key stakeholder relationships and manage these at all levels to support excellence in tactical implementation.
* Experience of developing and embedding integrated communications strategies and plans across complex networks of stakeholders
* Experience of programme management of integrated communications plans across complex stakeholders for successful implementation and delivery.
* Ability to manage and deliver communications activities across a Matrix/networked organization through influencing others at all levels.
* Proven track record of managing stakeholder processes and experience in designing and delivering communications plans.
* Bring insight and best practice to the organisation and stimulate this within Corporate Affairs and the business
* Ability to manage delivery through others is essential.
* Able to identify and develop multiple complexities eg outcomes and interdependencies and relationships in reputation and strategic communications management.
Degree-level education preferable with specific and proven senior experience in communications and/or a stakeholder management functions
* Professional qualification in related subject ideal eg CIM
* Experience of the energy sector ideally (though FS, Telecommunications will be considered) and understanding of the challenges of operating within a regulated business.
Minimum of 5 years (preferably more) marketing communications/services experience require
