IT Business Consultant - China

Manning Global, is urgently looking for an IT Business Consultant to join our client, a prestigious international Telecommunications company to be based in Shenzhen, China and travel globally when required.

Contract Type: 6 months' rolling

Start Date: ASAP

Main responsibilities:

-Improving our client's Service Sales solution success rates and competence through IT Business Consulting services, supporting Service Sales and Marketing projects, Knowledge Sharing and Best Practice transfer through leadership, coaching, mentoring or formal training activities.

-Developing and articulating our client's IT Business Consultant Solution portfolio and value propositions reflecting market and customer requirements within the fixed, mobile and converged ICT markets focusing mainly on the Business Strategy development, Service Development and overall IT Operations.

-Identifying add on sales opportunities during assignments with existing customers and communicate to appropriate business development areas within the company.

-Function as the IT Business Consultant expert providing guidance and technical advice to our client's internal organizations including the front line teams.

-Providing marketing and sales support to existing and prospective customers globally.

-Producing regular summary reports to Regional and HQ staff of best practice, reference cases, gap analysis, opportunities and key learning from engagements.

-Support customer relationship, capture customer requirements and analyze customer pain points to identify and agree on solution deliverables for engagement.

-Benchmark our client's IT Business Consulting Solutions to improve market place performance and communicate to regional strategy teams in order to meet or exceed competitor offers.

Requirements

-Extensive expertise in IT Business consultant focusing partnership with operators, advising them how to use information technology in order to meet their business objectives or overcome problems.

-Experienced in improving the structure and efficiency of IT systems in various organizations and held senior managerial roles in one or more of the following competence areas:

o Expert Advice on Information Technology

-Defining business strategies and developing business plans with a focus on value creation, providing analysis, solutions to Operator to improve their communication, data or software systems.

-Specializing in providing technology solutions for software platforms, data centers and overall IT operations. Ability to recommend software, platforms and tools and estimate the budget required for such implementation.

-In-depth knowledge of the IT eco system.

-Be able to plan the roadmap and make recommendations for future technology architecture such as: NFV/SDN/Cloud.

-Knowledge of Data Centers, IMS and Open Systems.

o Service Development

-Understand future market trends and help develop service requirements

-Strong knowledge of VAS services.

-Plan and model new services to be launched eg Digital Services

-Understand the Open Digital Environment as it relates to service development.

-Knowledge of OTT and 3rd party service providers. Help operators neutralize service competition from the OTT.

-Make recommendations of service monetization and go to market strategies (GTM).

o IT Operations

-Plan and optimize the IT environment from a cost efficiency perspective through consolidation, automation and convergence.

-Good understanding of hosting and managed services.

-Knowledge of Operations Support, Billing Systems and CRM.

-Have good knowledge of establishing BCP plans and be able to offer concrete suggestions to help with DR.

o People and Processes

-Project and Program management.

-Knowledge of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO).

-Knowledge of Data Center Tiers (I-IV).

-ITIL and Business Process Framework

-Maturity Assessment of IT Systems.

-Knowledge Management.

-Process management, re-engineering and compliance.

-Standards and Quality systems compliance and audit.

-Business Continuity Planning.

-Due diligence audit and reporting.

-Network Security and Risk management.

-Governance management.

o Business Development

-Commercial experience in Sales, business development, marketing, sales support or contract management roles

-Business modelling, Strategy and Roadmap development and

implementation

-Consulting experience gained within a telecoms operator or vendor or an industry recognized consultancy practice.

-Fluency in English. Chinese language skill is desirable but not essential.

-Able to work under pressure in global multi-cultural environment and travel extensively globally on short notice for extended periods, as required.
