Regulatory Business Analyst - EMIR Clearing, Dodd-Frank Volcker Rule, FATCA - London

Square One are looking for a Regulatory BA to come on board for an initial 6 month contract based in London working with a global banking organisation.

This role is to support the GBM regulatory portfolio by providing excellent communications to our clients, both internally (GBM staff) and externally, as part of the global regulatory portfolio communications programme. This role reports to the Head of the GBM Regulatory Portfolio Management Function.

As part of the GBM Regulatory Portfolio Management Function, you will be a participating team member in the development, review, delivery and maintenance of client communications to ensure that all stakeholders, internal and external, are informed of the current regulatory landscape and their required actions.

Deliverables will include:

Supporting Regulatory Programmes with the delivery of client and internal communications. This will include; EMIR Clearing, Dodd-Frank Volcker Rule, FATCA, Trade Reporting among other regulations.
Managing senior stakeholders and gathering pertinent information from key sources. You will provide guidance to the different Programme teams on how best to communicate both internally with interested parties and with their external clients.
Use of our communication methodology to ensure consistency and alignment (where appropriate) to any existing or forthcoming Group standards (eg Branding).
Review and editing of updates/communications received from programme teams. These will often require re-writing in a manner that is understandable by readers who are not familiar with a given regulation.
Defining and documenting procedures
Working remotely or alongside regulatory project teams to ensure communications plans are developed, are robust and are aligned to the rest of the regulatory portfolio.
Practicing robust change control procedures
On-going maintenance and improvement of the TOM as required, based on clearly defined requirements
Attend Working Groups and other meetings as appropriate, and support in the delivery of ad-hoc and urgent issues
Provide regulatory content for both the Intranet and Internet
Working across time zones - ensuring the framework supports GBM's global reach, practising discipline in change control and maintaining delivery momentum. Our main hubs are in New York, London and Hong Kong.
Flexibility - Due to the nature of the regulatory world, it is necessary to be flexible in order to deal with the ever-changing regulatory milestones and due-dates

ESSENTIAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS (Experience, skills, competencies etc.)

Experience of engaging with senior stakeholders, communications managers and subject matter experts
Required to support colleagues in London, New York and Hong Kong (be flexible on hours to support time zones);
Adept at gathering required information
Delivery focused and comfortable working to specific regulatory driven deadlines
Have a communications background, either Embedded in a regulatory programme or in a communications team
Ideally an understanding of the recent regulatory landscape eg DFA, EMIR, FATCA, etc.
Have a can do' attitude, be a team player, and be well organised
Excellent writing skills (clear and unambiguous)
A background in corporate communications, or document writing/publishing
Experience of working in large corporates, ideally global investment banks
Excellent grammar, documentation skills and attention to detail
Excellent MS Office skills (incl. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

This is an initial 6 month contract with a view to extend based in London paying Excellent daily rates.
