IT-Banking-Contract-Market Data and External Services Infrastructure Engineer.One of the leading global investment banks have an urgent requirement for a Market Data and External Services Infrastructure specialist to assist them within the IT Operations business area. You will play an integral part in ensuring all user requirements are defined and in line with project guidelines and deadlines. This role requires a very sharp and attentive individual to be very hands on and pro-active in achieving and delivering to a high standard.
This role is offering an initial 6 month contract and is paying up to £550 per day for the right candidate
You will be based in London and Financial Services experience is a must have.
The role Profile:
- The successful candidate will provide day to day support and undertake projects which contribute to ongoing successful delivery of Market Data and External Services Infrastructure and the services carried by it.
- Team members carry out elements of project work and live support, including on-call duties.
- This will be a challenging and influential role within the MDESI function, It involves management of system implementations and upgrades, performance analysis, providing expert advice, assistance and leadership on all aspects of integration with the infrastructure to the full range of users from technical staff to end-users.
Main Duties:
- Evaluation, Design and Integration and Support of Market Data and External Services Infrastructure into HSBC to meet business requirements.
- Infrastructure problem ownership and co-ordination through to resolution.
- Ownership of the operational infrastructure documentation.
- Capacity and proactive management of the infrastructure.
- Change ownership, management and authorisation.
- Tactical and strategic liaison with other technical and non-technical teams.
- Vendor relationship management from a service provision perspective.
- Manage relationship with business support and development teams for provision and service management.
The successful candidate will be a perfect fit and have the following skill set/experience:
- Basic knowledge of major 3rd party application products, eg vendor APIs and protocols, eg FIX, Fidessa, ION, GL
- Linux and/or Solaris administration skills.
- Market Data API's (RFA),Basic Java and/or C++.
- Application development or support experience.
