If the answer is yes then this may be the role for you.
My client is a leading blue chip financial organisation in the heart of the City with a customer base of around 11 million customers.
They have a large and diverse portfolio of major projects to provide IT-enabled business transformation projects across their group.
This particular role, to work on their Digital Programme, requires a strong understanding of the digital world as well as strong programme management experience delivering retail digital change. You will be accountable for the overall DXP programme plan plus delivery of the plan scope to schedule, within budget and to acceptable quality to realise the identified business benefits.
You will be responsible for leading, managing and developing staff within multiple project teams on major high risk and complex projects or programmes. This will be from design and development through to production, defining requirements and planning project lifecycle deployment.
You will take responsibility for the quality assurance and overall integrity of the programme ensuring the delivery of new products and/or services from the programme is to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget.
A key part of your role will be to act as a communication conduit to executive sponsors and the Programme Steering Committee, providing regular updates and progress reports.
As well as deep expertise in one or more core project management disciplines you will be qualified to Practitioner level in PRINCE2 methodology. You will bring with you a significant, proven track record of delivering large and complex business transformation projects and programmes, delivering retail change as well as substantial experience of SI management.
You will have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling collaborative partnering with the business, IT and other functional capabilities and the management of 3rd parties/Systems Integrator (SI) as required.
Fundamental to the role is the adoption, enhancement and ongoing advocacy of standard project delivery process and governance procedures and accountability for decision making. You will have extensive leadership experience with an emphasis on teamwork, having previously motivated staff to create a high-performance environment. Your attention to detail and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will all prove invaluable.
