Electronics Design Engineer / Motor Controls / Power Supplies / 6 monthsI have a requirement for an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to design and develop motor controllers / power supplies for Electric Vehicles.
Job role:
- Design and development of electronics for mobile applications
- Full Life-Cycle product development
- To work as part of a cross functional team with senior engineers, software, mechanical and production engineers as well as QA and logistics.
- Design and development of circuits such as power supplies, battery chargers, dcdc converters or motor controllers
- Familiar with use of CAD tools for simulation, schematic capture and PCB layout
Desirable experience and skills:
- Design for mobile applications such as road, rail or marine
- Design for high volume manufacture ( over 10,000 per year )
- Thermal design of electronic equipment rated at more than 100W
- Design to meet EMC standards
- Design to meet safety standards
- Familiar with design methods such as FMEA
- Familiar with structured design methods
- Microprocessor control
