We are looking to recruit a Risk Manager to work within a large insurance organisation in Manchester at the rate of £ per day. The ideal candidate will be a highly experienced risk manager and it is essential that they have strong knowledge of Solvency II, the regulatory bodies, rules and guidance, along with the '3 Lines of Defence'.
Role accountabilities;
- To ensure the Life and Pensions teams, along with other teams across the business comply with national regulatory and business regulatory standards.
- To oversee the Life and Pensions teams, along with other teams across the business, ensuring they practice the '3 Lines of Defence'
- Apply controls to ensure early identification of possible risks.
- Support the business in managing and mitigating risks.
- Develop, maintain and monitor the risk frameworks and plans in place.
- Deliver process improvements.
- Challenge and influence senior stakeholders, effectively building and maintaining relationships.
- Review and guide the frameworks.
- Work with the Risk Management team to support the deployment of the framework.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Insurance knowledge essential.
- FCA, PRA and FSA compliance, interaction or knowledge essential
- Financial Services essential
- Stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to deliver effective reports.
- Demonstrated coaching and feedback skills.
- Ability to work under own initiative.
