New opportunity in Microsoft Sandyford for a Senior Operations Support Analyst.
Job description:
- Acts as the final point of escalation and resolution for technical support.
- Responsibilities is to provide advanced technical support to developers, testers, PMs and end users for complex products, including highly escalated issues, provide support via telephone, written correspondence, and electronic media.
- Adhering to services support SLAs and processes.
- Dedicated weekend support for business critical applications. Will need to work 5 days a week which includes Saturday and Sunday + 3 week days.Will need to do bank Holidays coverage.
- Core work hours 9 am to 5:30 pm GMT.
Technical Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have 4+ years in various Microsoft technologies:
- Windows Server (WS 2008 preferred)
- SQL Server
- Active Directory
- Windows NLB cluster management + Windows Cluster Management
- Networking
Solid understanding of standard computer science concepts required.
Must have the Associate's degree in a technical field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
Other Skills:
- An Ability to quickly ramp up supporting services (applications) not seen before based on underlining core technologies like SQL, Win2008, IIS etc.
- Exceptional customer service, communication, problem solving, and technical writing skills are required.
- Experience in following technologies will be a big plus:
- SQL Scripting
- SQL Reporting
- Business Intelligence reporting
- Command-line-Scripting,
- Power Shell
- C#
- SAN technologies.
