A senior analyst position has arisen within an investment bank in London. This is a contract role that is looking to last 6 months and will pay up to £250 per day.

The Senior Analyst, reporting to the Manager System Governance, ensures the team involved provides Markets Operations with a centre of excellence for System Access Management.

The role provides oversight and guidance in the application of key controls, balancing the needs of business objectives alongside key policies and risk appetite in the on-going strategic change to system infrastructure.

The role is responsible for c. 90 systems where Markets Operations is the Data Owner.

This will mean the main account abilities and day to day activities will include:

  • Strong stakeholder management with Commercial Banking Control Function, Group Security & Fraud, Group IT, GCT and across Group Operations
  • Ensure System Governance compliance with Group Policy, procedures, guidelines, quality standards and all regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Ensure any issues are logged/tracked in accordance with procedures. Duties include but are not limited to the oversight of application rectification's (automated and manual), creation and review of Business Impact Assessments, creation and review of User Access Manuals, verification of system access requests and changes to profiles to ensure no toxic combinations, support business and project teams to ensure Markets Operations strategy is met without compromising security, undertaking due diligence for Markets Operations Data Owners

Key Capabilities/Knowledge:

  • Previous exposure to User Access Management
  • A good working knowledge of the financial markets and instruments, including processing techniques and settlement conventions/market practices, product related documentation, gained from extensive banking experience
  • Ability to interact and maintain the respect of key stakeholders internally and externally
  • In depth knowledge of Group policy, procedures and guidelines, quality standards and all regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate and influence all grades within the business
