Description

This is a new requirement for a Finance Analyst position at a large Rail client based in Chippenham. It is a contract position lasting a minimum of 22 weeks initially with the extended project envisaged to last 1 year.

Purpose of Role

Reporting to the Systems Accountant the role holder will engage with the technical implementation team and wider Finance team to help deliver the transition from Infor LN accounting system onto SAP R/3.

The system is due to go live in May 2015, so there is an intense period of work leading up to that, followed by a bedding in and stabilisation period after that.

Principal Accountabilities
Prepare reconciliations to verify the accuracy of migrated data.
Assist with data conversion and data enrichment activities.
Assist with User Acceptance Testing of the new system.
Assist with process improvement and/or stabilisation initiatives post go-live.

System testing milestones achieved with quality feedback on issues encountered.
Takes the initiative as problems and opportunities arise by proactively anticipating, identifying, communicating, and resolving them.
Contributes to a positive team spirit in what will be a stressful environment.
Takes responsibility for outcomes, and overcomes obstacles to ensure deadlines are met.

Essential Requirements
Part Qualified or recently qualified CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent.
Highly competent in excel data analysis and modelling techniques.
Good working knowledge on SAP R/3 financials.
Quickly able to learn how to find information in new IT systems.
