Geotechnical EngineerWe are recruiting for a Geotechnical Engineer to join an engineering consultancy that is expanding their UK operations to accommodate increasing demand from a solid client base.

Your Role
- Developing professional and technically competent reports to deliver quality services to clients
- Ensures all geotechnical designs are in accordance with set standards and all recommendations are robust, value-based and commissionable
- Ensures that designs are delivered on time to our clients and that the design fulfils the client's brief
- Inspects construction work and ensures that all aspects of design are correctly implemented
- Monitors processes and results and ensure that they comply with relevant safety, legal, ethical and regulatory requirements
- Ability to make appropriate judgements and decisions and exercise initiative
- Input into geotechnical bids and proposals
About You
- Minimum three years geotechnical experience
- Technical knowledge and design experience of core geotechnical elements including shallow and piled foundations, retaining walls (gravity and embedded), slopes and earthworks as well as ground investigation works
- Ability to use relevant industry standard software (FREW, SlopeW and ALP or similar programmes)
- Up to date knowledge of relevant UK legislation, with a working knowledge of Eurocode 7 and UK annex design codes, GI & construction Contracts and Specifcations
- Experienced & confident with report writing and presentation skills
- Degree qualified in relevant field
- Conversant and adheres to all Codes of Practice, Design Standards and Health and Safety Regulations
