We are looking to recruit a Compliance Manager with experience in the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of banking and experience of dealing directly with the FCA principles, rules and guidance. The successful candidate will act as the SME and provide support and guidance, including recommendations to policies and regulations, ensuring the business is compliant.
Role accountabilities:
- Support the design, production, review and refresh of the compliance monitoring framework.
- Deliver compliance review/assurance activity to senior management to identify and fomulate effective solutions to shortfalls.
- Provide input to the continuous development and improvement of the compliance review methodology and approach.
- Maintain the compliance aspects of OSP governance and deliver timely analysis and fulfil the agreed reporting schedule for the wider senior management team.
- Provide support to the Bank in relation to issues with a regulatory compliance connotation, such as policy processing, complaints handling and reporting, policyholder communications and disclosure materials and breach/incident remediation.
- Analyse MI and reports provided by the OSPs.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- Relevant and extensive FCA financial services compliance experience including insurance company products and outsourced service arrangements.
- Proven analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate and challenge at all levels.
- Proven abilities in relationship management with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organisation skills, including the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Fully conversant in mainstream business software applications.
