Your tasks:

Help create thoughtful, self-explanatory software for international businesses;

Be part of a first-hour international Ruby on Rails team;

Work from anywhere; 2 daily work hours with the Beijing team is required (easiest from Europe, Asia or Australia);

Solid understanding of MVC-style application development, version control, Unix shell;

Skilled in HTML5, CSS3, mobile interfaces, JavaScript and jQuery;

Excellent copywriting skills; fluent in written and spoken English.

About the job
As a UI designer, one of your key responsibilities will be to research our clients' commercial and operational requirements and user needs and translate them into written specifications and user stories to be used as a basis for development.

This is a crucial task that requires technical knowledge and business insight, as well as the ability to express specifications and instructions in clear, concise English, both written and spoken.

You will develop style guides and create great user experiences for our clients using HTML5, CSS3, SASS, jQuery and Coffeescript. You will also work alongside our development team as they build to your specifications, guiding their work and relaying feedback to and from the client as the software takes shape through multiple iterations.
