Change, Release, Configuration Manager - Bournemouth - £45,000Computer Futures are currently working with a key client seeking an experienced Change, Release and Configuration Manager to join their head office in Bournemouth.

To be successful in applying for this position you will have a strong background in Change, Release and Configure Management.
Having Team Founder Server (TFS) experience will put you at a good advantage. You will need to provide evidence of where you have managed procedures and set up a configuration system effectively.
You will manage:
- The Release Management process, ensuring procedures are in place and aligned with our Microsoft technologies and Agile Development methodology
- Configuration activities throughout the full development lifecycle
- Configuration of activities are in force utilising the Microsoft Team Foundation Server Coordination of the multiple development, test and production environment implementation requests for assigned projects.
- Assist Project Managers with projects through the clients' non-production Environments.
- The Release Management schedule and environment utilisation plans are in place and support each IT project
- The allocation of resources for implementation activities
Key measures and responsibilities:
- Business knowledge - understanding the different areas within the business and the principles of insurance.
- Product knowledge - a good understanding of our products and processes to enable solutions to be developed effectively
- Technical knowledge - an understanding of relevant software applications, as well as a willingness to learn new systems to enable effective testing
- Compliance with data protection and Health and Safety guidelines - identifying and implementing solutions to ensure the business' continual complies with it's regulations, to include; Treating Customers Fairly (TCF), Health and Safety, Data Protection and Medical Confidentiality
- Effective Communication - Liaise comfortably with internal and external management, as well as with all other staff levels
- Level of performance - adherence to quality standards, attendance, timekeeping, working to set project timescales and any other reasonable requests
- Company positioning - understanding our business strategy with a view to improving our position in the market
- Management information - ability to obtain and analyse information and present in an audience appropriate manner
- Multi-skilled - Able to multi task and work to tight deadlines with a positive and enthusiastic outlook towards the 'new world'
Skills, knowledge and behaviour
You will have knowledge / expertise in:
- Change, Release and Configuration management experience
- Team Foundation Server (TFS) able to setup a Configuration Management process quickly - new environments that are on order will introduce 5 parallel streams of development which will demand a strong CM model to manage the code
- Microsoft technologies, which must include .NET, Windows server and SQL Server
- ITIL qualified, ideally at Practitioner level but as a minimum Foundation
- SDLC covering Agile, RAD and Waterfall
- Code management and release tools, especially covering the Microsoft Stack (e.g. InRelease)
- Design and implementation of processes to manage automated testing, continuous integration, automated deployment and retrofitting of code to multiple environments
- Defining, communicating and executing the release process for the promotion of fixes, updates and entire projects to non-production and production environments
- Complex code deployments across multiple applications
- Stake holder management, collaboration and communication across multiple teams
