A managed service provider client are currently looking for a Systems Administrator to join the fast growing team in Central London for a contract term lasting at least 6 months, to start ASAP.

Key skills include:

*Windows & Linux Servers (Windows Server 2008, 2012)
(Knowledge of Linux and Windows administration and related technologies)
*VMware and/or Hyper0V
*Active Directory
*Basic understanding of key Internet protocols (TCP, UDP, SMTP, HTTP, DNS)

Desirables:

*Web / Application Servers: Apache, Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS)
*Network: Cisco Switches/Routers, Juniper/Fortinet Firewalls, Netscaler/F5 Load Balancers
*Storage: HDS/NetApp storage with NFS and iSCS

The daily duties of the role are seen below:

*Maintaining and supporting the effective running of the platforms and products that we deliver to our customers
*Product and system-level escalations from International Support teams for technical issues
*Documentation, mentoring and training to International Support teams to reduce escalations
*Liaison with development teams for installation and maintenance of provisioning and billing systems
*Implementation of new solutions based on Linux and Microsoft platforms
*Reducing the number of parallel platforms within the infrastructure through consolidation and virtualisation
*Automation of day-to-day tasks on Linux and Microsoft platforms
*Managing a diverse workload from real time operational outages, support escalations of customer problems and rolling upgrade and security projects to architectural redesign of key components of the infrastructure.
*Operate ISO processes to ensure consistent service delivery and ensuring the quality of documentation retained is satisfactory to allow new engineers to progress effectively.
*Occasional visits to our data centres to rack, patch and perform physical and routine maintenance
