Brief Overview of the Role:
My client is looking for a Senior Network specialist to act as a technical lead for infrastructure projects.
Main Responsibility:
- Maintaining a combined large HP and Cisco Local Area Network
- Migrating from a Cisco to HP LAN
- Working in a high pressure environment that operates 24x7
Your Responsibilities:
- To undertake the implementation of technical tasks within IS projects.
- To act as a liaison between central IS groups and sub-region technical teams.
- To ensure new IS systems requirements include considerations for integration, security, operations, continuity and availability.
- To provide mentorship to System Engineering team
Experience Required:
- Configuring and managing LAN and WAN networking Layer 2 and 3 devices - HP and Cisco
- Strong HP/Cisco experience (Routers, Switches and Firewalls experience)
- Configuring and managing storage area networks.
- Configuring and managing VMware Virtual Machines using VSphere
- Configuring and managing Windows Servers and Windows Firewalls
- Experience of storage area networks and NetApps technology.
- Experience of supporting systems running SQL and Oracle database technologies
Qualifications Preferable:
- MCSA/MCSE
- ITIL Foundation
- Cisco/HP Network Qualifications
