We are currently recruiting a Software Engineer to be based in Hertfordshire on a permanent basis. We are seeking a technically excellent, creative, software engineer. Candidates should have top-level academic credentials with proven hands-on capability.Responsibilities
This is a client facing role where you will need to discuss the technical aspects of your projects regularly with the client and help identify solutions to meet their needs.
Requirements
- 1st or a 2.1 degree with significant software engineering content.
- At least 3 years experience developing either embedded and/or application software in a commercial environment.
- Fluent in C and at least one other language such as C#, C++, Java, or assembler.
- Knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, iOS, Android, QNX, Linux.
Desirable
- Experience of all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle from requirements elicitation to software validation.
- Ability to interpret circuit diagrams and debug at the hardware/software interface.
- Basic understanding of engineering fundamentals and physics.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as IEC62304, IEC61508, ISO26262 or DO178B/C.
- Any experience (or potential) for team or project-leadership would be a distinct advantage.
