Senior and Principal Embedded Software Engineers
Due to continued growth, we are recruiting for a number of Senior and Principal Embedded Software Engineers to join a global leading technology company based in Oxfordshire. Based within one of their key design centres in Oxfordshire, you will work in a fast paced, results oriented company who pioneer cutting-edge technologies.
These role are permanent positions and you will be in a hands on role involved in the full lifecycle from design and implementation of complex firmware systems. At all levels, we would expect strong coding experience in embedded C and C++. At principal level, we would expect architecture experience as well as ability to take on technical lead responsibilities. Working in a team of bright, talented engineers, this role will suit someone who is seeking real engineering opportunities and who enjoys solving technically challenging problems.
Requirements:
* Degree educated in electronics, maths, computer science or a related discipline (2:1 and above)
* Proven commercial experience of delivering firmware for multiple embedded system (platforms, CPUs, etc)
* Strong programming skills in embedded C
* C++ skills (beneficial)
* Strong experience of RISC processors
* Proficient use of standard software development methodologies (eg. CVS, SVN, bugzilla, JIRA)
* Firmware debug (eg. JTAG, GDB)
* Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
* Ability to lead other engineers when given project and team responsibility
Salary & Package:
Salary range will depend upon your level of experience £45,000 - £55,000 pa plus benefits. For candidates with the right domain knowledge, they will be able to consider a higher salary from £60,000 pa.
