Next Ventures are currently executing a search for an experienced iSeries infrastructure specialist for a 3 months contract in Brussels starting ASAP.Technical skills:
- 5+ years of i5 OS management (versions 5.3-7.1) in multi customer environment skills
- Installation, Upgrade and Migration of operating systems and PTF management
- HMC, LPAR, iASP configuration, set up and management
- Good knowledge of BRMS (IBM backup tool)
- Job management through ROBOT/400, AJS and Job Scheduler
- MiMix, OMS400/ODS400, iCluster HA applications: installation, configuration, set up and management
- Co-ordinate Hardware and Software call
- Printer and device configuration
- External storage & SAN: connection and management
- Performance management and capacity planning (PM400)
- System Security management
- TCP/IP communications
- VIOS: configuration, set up and management
- CL programming
- Optional: RPG programmer skills
Personal skills
- High sense of ownership & taking initiatives of customer request
- Having skill to Handel SEV1 situation independently
- Good teaming skills: strong team worker & leader
- Being able to transfer technical experiences and knowledge to other team members
- Project management skills to lead and coordinate transfer projects of additional work from local to IDC
- Good communication skills: in writing, verbal and in usage of the right medium for the right goal
- Discrete, Patience, Immune to stress, Pro-active and End to end responsibility
- Used to work in a critical production environment
- Flexible to be part of on call in Belgium, willing to work outside hours and weekend
- Languages: English and knowledge of French and/or Dutch (speaking and reading).
Extension beyond March 2015 is likely.
