The role will be based in the city centre offices, Dublin and will be for an initial 3 month period this may be extended by additional 3 month periods up to a maximum of 12 month duration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Copy, write and edit the Department's website content
* Assure adherence to the Department's editorial guidelines and editorial style standards
* Ensure the Department's website content meets compliance obligations
* Responsibility for providing feedback on the re-draft of original text
* Handle assigned work with creativity, relevance and within specified time limits
* Search for opportunities to enhance website content

Mandatory Requirements

* Good computer skills including MS Office applications
* Proven and practical experience of web publishing and web accessibility
* Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
* Ability to make logical and consistent decisions according to the Department's editorial policy
* Ability to prioritise effectively
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good organisation and time management skills

Skills transfer to Departmental staff is a key requirement, and the proposed Website Content Editor resource will need to have strong presentation and communication skills as they may be dealing with the wider organisational staff.

Desirable Qualifications

* Educated to Third Level Qualification
* Detail oriented with experience in copy editing/writing preferred
