The Role

This is a University based in South London and is rated in the top 50 of the University League Table

A Residential & Commercial Services Manager is needed on a 12 month FTC for this post.

Over the past three years, the conferences and summer lets business has expanded significantly and they are critically looking at their accommodation offer to ensure that it continues to provide a good service as the University develops and expands in the future.

• The successful candidate would be bought on board to review the department, develop a Strategic Plan and to ensure that implementation of this strategic direction commences
• The current conference and catering services department has a great opportunity to transform itself by working more closely with the other professional services, into a wider commercial service and need someone to steer the team through this transformation.
• The commercial services need to be more closely aligned with the Estates department in particular
• Alongside this there is also an opportunity to develop strategic partnerships to enhance and expand our accommodation offer.

The Person

• The successful candidate will have a previous experience as a Commercial Manager and will understand the areas of contract negotiations
• Understand the needs of residential/non-residential accommodation
• Have an affinity for the stu population
• Excellent communication skills
• Presentable and able to handle negotiations
