DESCRIPTION:
- Perform an assistant role in project planning, budgeting, administration of IT infrastructure projects, project meeting minutes, checklists
- Help develop the objectives, goals, responsibilities and tasks of the projects.
- Project accounting functions including managing the budget, tracking if team expenses and minimizing exposure and risk in the project
- Help to ensure that IT project activities move according to predetermined schedule.
- Communicate effectively with the project team members responsible for completing various phases of the project.
- Monitor the progress of the project activities on a regular basis and attend regular status meetings with the team members.
- Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards.
- Administrative tasks
- Project Management certification PMP (an asset)
- Insurance experience (an asset)
- Leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Exceptional influence ability and negotiation skill
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with peers, subordinates and superiors in a team environment and recognize when issues need to be escalated to a higher level of management
- Strong computer skills, including MS Project, Word, Excel, SharePoint.
- 2+ years experience as an IT Project Coordinator
